The Role

As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components and assemblies while working from detailed engineering drawings.

Duties Include:

  • TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel

  • Fabrication work on materials from 1.0mm – 12mm thickness

  • Welding sub-assemblies and main assemblies using jigs or freehand methods

  • Pipework fabrication and welding

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances

  • Sanding and grinding components to required finish standards

  • Building assembly weld fixtures

  • Supporting continuous improvement within the workshop

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in thin gauge TIG & MIG welding

  • Proven sheet metal fabrication experience

  • Ability to work confidently from engineering drawings

  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel

  • Good attention to detail and quality standards

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

  • Engineering apprenticeship or City & Guilds welding/fabrication qualifications desirable
